Is Fathom accepting bookings from travel professionals?

Absolutely! We encourage your partnership in helping your travelers impact the world.

What agency information do I need to provide to book a client?

    • Initially, if you are registered travel professional with any of the Carnival Corp & plc North American brands, all you need to do is go onto fathom.org and provide your agency name, agency phone, and the agent of record’s name so that we may contact you by phone.

How do I sign up to sell the Fathom™ travel experience?

The documentation we need to set up your agency depends upon your location. Please see the below criteria for U.S. and Canadian agencies, and email all completed documentation to us at operations_support@fathom.org.

U.S. (excluding U.S. territories):

  • A letter on agency letterhead signed by an owner/manager requesting to do business with fathom. Please make sure this includes all agency contact information. Feel free to include an email you would like to use as your default for booking confirmations and notifications.
  • A W-9 form signed by an owner/manager.
  • A copy of your IATA, ARC, True, or CLIA certificate or a copy of your state business or seller of travel license. Please make sure the license includes the words “Business License” or “Seller of Travel.

Canada:

  • A letter on agency letterhead signed by an owner/manager requesting to do business with Fathom. Please make sure this includes all agency contact information. Feel free to include an email you would like to use as your default for booking confirmations and notifications.
  • A copy of your IATA, ARC, True, or CLIA certificate or a copy of your state business or seller of travel license. Please make sure the license includes the words “Business License” or “Seller of Travel”.

Do I need a negotiated contract to do business with Fathom?

Fathom is open to doing business with any travel professional that can supply the information above or who is already registered to do business with one of our Polar based North American sister brands. No negotiated contracts are required.

What is the commission structure?

Fathom offers an attractive commission to our Travel Partners. Please contact salessupport@fathom.org to get specific details.

What is the Founder's Circle?

Details on our Founder’s Circle will be available in fall 2015. To qualify, at least one booking must be under deposit in our first 90 days of operation.

What is Fathom's group policy?

We welcome groups! We encourage you to organize groups for this incredible new travel experience. Our call center agents will be more than happy to help you understand our group policies and track your group booking activity.  Please contact our Groups Department at groups@fathom.org for details regarding our group policies and pricing.

Are there any promotional dollars available for co-op?

We do not have co-op or marketing materials available, but, as above, we look forward to communicating updates to you in the fall of 2015.

When do I receive my commission?

Commission amounts will calculate off of final payments that become nonrefundable, which is at 45 days from sailing. Commissions will be paid as soon as possible after that.

If I do business with other Carnival Corporation brands, does business with Fathom earn credits?

No, we do not offer credits with other Carnival brands.

Can I use part of my commission to purchase onboard gifts for my travelers?

Once Polar Online is available, you will be able to use commissions to purchase gifts for your travelers.

How is the Fathom experience priced?

Our weekly departures fall into three seasonal variations in price: low, shoulder and high. Pricing is configured across four meta categories: inside, outside, balcony and suites. Refer to the website or contact Fathom at 1-855-932-8466 for specific departure and category pricing.

What constitutes commissionable revenue?

Commissionable revenue is the cruise fare less the TF&PE and NCF (non-commissionable fare) component of the cruise fare. Commission is not paid on any onboard purchases made by your traveler.

Is there special pricing afforded to my agency?

Our pricing is straightforward and simple, with three seasonal variations and four meta-categories. We offer no special agency pricing at this time.

Am I able to advertise and sell Fathom to travelers around the world?

We accept bookings from travelers from anywhere in the world, but all transactions must be in USD. We welcome your efforts in spanning the globe.

Do you offer any FAM trips for travel professionals?

We plan to communicate FAM trip policy in the near future.

Can you help me book air for my travelers?

We currently do not offer this option.

Can you help me book hotels before and after the trip?

We currently do not offer this option.

Do you offer optional trip and medical protection for my travelers?

No, we do not. We encourage you to present your clients with options to cover their investment and any possible health related situations.

Can I book via GDS?

Fathom is not currently linked to any GDS systems.

Are my travelers’ monies safe with Fathom?

Fathom is the tenth brand in the Carnival Corporation & plc, and is fully supported by Carnival corporate systems and guarantees.

Are my commissions protected if my traveler cancels?

Commissions are protected for any traveler who is paid in full and cancels in the 45 or closer non-refundable period.

Can I request a specific room for my travelers?

Yes, agents have the opportunity to select specific rooms during the booking process, including suite, balcony, ocean view, or interior stateroom.

What are the prices for different dates and types of staterooms?

*Per person based on double occupancy. Excluding taxes, fees and port expenses. Taxes, fees and port expenses are estimated to be from $200 per person for Dominican Republic to $500 per person for Cuba.

Do you have separate traveler and agency invoices?

Full travel professional invoices will be issued at the time the reservation is secured.

Do you have separate traveler and agent deposit and cancellation documents?

You will receive deposit confirmations with the trip details and cancellation notices to the email address entered on the booking form.

Is there a call center I can contact to ask questions and help me facilitate a booking?

Yes, our call center is based in Seattle and is open Pacific Time M-F 6:00am – 5:00pm and Sa-Su 8:30am – 5:00pm. The telephone number is 1-855-932-8466.
