COMMUNITY TOUR- MUSIC FOR THE SOUL
ACTIVITY LEVEL: EASY- MODERATE

Start your day with a special musical performance from the students at a local music program and learn more about the importance of the artistic culture to the island. Meet teachers and community members as you participate in hands-on activities creating much needed instruments and tools for the children's music program. Join in on this opportunity to get closer to locals, learn how this resilient community is working day by day to rebuild lives, celebrate their resilience with them and leave a positive impact behind.

HAND-ON CHOCOLATE EXPERIENCE
ACTIVITY LEVEL: EASY- MODERATE

Discover the sweet side of the Dominican Republic. Spend your day immersed in the local cocoa culture visiting Chocal, a local chocolate factory. Spend time getting to know the women and community members who run the factory. Learn the steps of the chocolate making process from seed to bar. You'll even have an opportunity to sample and purchase your favorite chocolate treats.

PAPER WITH PURPOSE
ACTIVITY LEVEL: EASY- MODERATE

Enjoy a day of creativity and connection with inspiring women who have turned recycled paper into a business. In this hands-on experience, you will take part in the complete recycled paper making process using local techniques alongside the high energy women of El Javillar, a local community in the heart of Puerto Plata.

DOMINICAN COOFEE.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:EASY- MODERATE

Take an adventure to discover first-hand, the local coffee scene. In an open air Safari truck, explore off the beaten path and find yourself in an Eco-Lodge in the mountainous countryside. Participate hands-on in the process of taking Dominican coffee bean from tree to your favorite cup of Joe. This activity supports the rural community effort to bring back coffee production.

CULTURAL CONNECTION & HISTORIC PRESERVATION
ACTIVITY LEVEL: EASY- MODERATE

Expand your horizons, join us beachside for a double dose of tropical fun, learning about the origins and history of the Turks Islanders, while lending a hand to the restoration efforts of the Turks & Caicos National Museum.This experience is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the authentic history and culture of Turks & Caicos islands, guided by a passionate archaeologist, who will also walk you through the more recent struggles, after the hurricanes. Join in on restoration efforts, such as replanting the gardens native trees of the museum, painting the newly rebuilt fence and restoring the gazebo. These tasks will support the museum’s recovery and help preserve history.
